This is the feed for iTunes to load the podcast. Why so difficult and non-standard? Beats me...it's why I use Juice and not iTunes.

RIP Alice Anderson

Filed under: Old-Time Radio — Charlie Summers @ 1:02 pm
October 23, 2004; Alice Anderson accepts the Allen Rockford Award from husband Arthur Anderson and Jay Hickerson

Craig Wichman reports that Alice Anderson, wife of Let’s Pretend and Mercury Theater star Arthur Anderson, passed away yesterday morning.

Friends of Old-Time Radio Convention attendees all knew Alice…she was frequently at the registration table, and otherwise at Arthur’s side, taking care of the mundane so Arthur could concentrate on the art of performing and directing old-time radio performances. She was an amazing woman, always ready with a smile and encouraging word, yet fiercely protective of Arthur. I sometimes joked that we invited Arthur every year just so we could spend some time with Alice.

She was short of stature, but a huge presence at the convention. She will be remembered.
