  • RSS 2.0

The main feed; in a news aggrigator, it's the news items, in a podcast client, it's the media files.

  • iTunes RSS 2.0

This is the feed for iTunes to load the podcast. Why so difficult and non-standard? Beats me...it's why I use Juice and not iTunes.

This is the feed for global comments (any comment made to the board); each entry has a seperate comments feed, too

Digest rejections - AOL, Juno, NetZero…oh, my!

Filed under: Old-Time Radio — Charlie Summers @ 1:12 pm

The Digest is being hit by a “megastorm” of rejections today…for the last issue or two, Juno/NetZero has been rejecting the mail (no decipherable reason given), but today AOL joined the party with a rejection because of an, “unfavorable” pattern, whatever the heck that means. (Could be that someone else within my server’s netblock is sending spam, AOL’s filters are screwed-up as frequently happens, or something completely different.)

Don’t know how permanent this is…usually when a system rejects the Digest, it only lasts a few days before things go back to normal. But again, there is nothing I can do about it…the server is attempting to deliver the mail to these systems, it’s the systems that are not accepting the mail, treating it as spam. So feel free to complain to your system’s customer support, and once the systems begin again to accept the mail, request the missing issues from the Digest’s archive server.

SummersTime for the week of 10/15/2012

Award-Winning Katie Summers
Katherine Summers and her Spirit Award

After congratulating my co-host for her well-deserved honor of receiving the New York OTR Spirit Award at the convention Saturday, Katie finishes the Adventures by Morse storyline, “A Coffin for the Lady,” I play The Ford Theater version of Jack Benny’s “The Horn Blows at Midnight,” and she presents the Fort Laramie titled, “Don’t Kick My Horse!”

(Sorry about screwing up by not posting an archived episode last week…we’ll catch up during December, when SummersTime will take some time off from Radio Once More.)
