Hi … this is Senator X asking for your support …

Filed under: News — Charlie Summers @ 10:52 pm

From the Pittsburg Post Gazette: Hi … this is Senator X asking for your support …

An opinion piece from Shaun Dakin, CEO of Citizens for Civil Discourse, the nonpartisan, nonprofit group that recently launched the National Political Do Not Contact Registry. It won’t help, but maybe if we let them know we don’t want to be annoyed by them, they’ll buy a clue and stop annoying us.

  1. Frank McGurn Says:

In my part of Illinois we get as many as 10 to 15 recorded phone calls from people running for national and local offices . Don’t have caller id. so I pick up the phone and find out who is the is the politician calling, and then hang up. I then send him or her an e-mail informing the person that the recorded or live person caller has forever lost my vote and my wives. Because often I have gotten several calls usually after 5:00 PM. I have group of friends that do the same , but the calls still keep coming. They don’t get the message. I guess they figure if you throw enough mud at the some will stick.

As soon as the “don’t Call list” was announced I signed up.
