From the article; “Get used to the idea of a different kind of anchor team. If ABC’s vision pans out, Vargas and Woodruff may be apart as often as they are together, with one or occasionally both jet-setting to the scene of a story for the show.” English translation: “We’re going to parachute our anchors into news stories about which they know nothing, and then promote it as if it’s a good thing.” It doesn’t work for NPR, it sure as hell won’t work for ABC. Unless, of course, like NPR you’re more interested in style over substance…in that case, they can have one of ‘em stand up in front of a blue screen.
