More NPR Pettiness…
Talk about the show on http://www.bobedwards.info/
National Paranoid Radio strikes again; The Bob Edwards Show hoped to have as their guest veteran newsman Daniel Schorr on the first anniversary of the program, as Schorr was hired at CBS by Edward R. Murrow. Unfortunately, NPR, as it did with Scott Simon, refused to allow Schorr to participate in the program. As Bob Edwards said somewhat tongue-in-cheek before the program was recorded before a live studio audience of invited program fans, “You were told that Daniel Schorr would be here…and we all dearly wanted Daniel Schorr to be here…National Public Radio didn’t want Daniel Schorr to be here…we learned at the last second that he would not be coming, and putting him in a dilemma…but Dan’s only 89…he’s got to look out for his own future.”
What the hell causes a big company like NPR to be so frightened of XM Satellite Radio’s The Bob Edwards Show?
