Man, It’s Cold; and Bob Edwards on C-SPAN
Man, is it cold out there! Here in the northeast, fall has been milder than normal - but man, did we get nailed this morning. The Katester looked like an icicle waiting for the bus; it was so cold I took the car down the quarter-block and let her sit inside while waiting. Yipe.
Bob Edwards’ self-titled XM Radio show was simulcast this morning on C-SPAN television as part of today’s Washington Journal. I got to my email unusualy late this morning, and so missed most of it (much thanks for the heads-up, Andy!).
And now I’m a little ticked off at the President of the United States. His press conferences have been, to date, as rare as hen’s teeth; so of course, today he decides to hold one, which cut off the rebroadcast of Edwards’ hour at the half. I’ll keep checking the schedule, but it doesn’t look good for getting the 10-minutes or so I’m missing between the two recordings. Fortunately, XM Radio includes C-SPAN Radio, which is scheduled to rebroadcast Washington Journal beginning at 8:00 pm in the east, 5:00 pm in the west, so we can at least hear the show. (I gotta find the IR codes for the Roady2, so I can have the computer automatically turn on the unit and change the channel. Yeah, I’m lazy, but having the computer handle the “heavy lifting” would keep me from missing a lot of things I want to hear and forget all about…)
