Finally, the first of the pics!

Filed under: Old-Time Radio — Charlie Summers @ 1:24 pm

Before I get to some photos, I want to make certain everyone understands that their tardiness is all the fault of Martin, Elizabeth Minny, and her brother. I am completely innocent.

Yesterday was an amazing day; watching the pros perform in multiple recreations, listening to them reminisce about their careers, and learning so much through the panels made the day literally fly by. And today looks to be another wonderful day, culminating with dinner and a show.

Anyway, to a few photographs from yesterday:

The Digest’s own Martin Grams, Jr. introducing one of the many recreations on-tap this weekend.

Director Dick Beals.

Barbara Fuller, Frank Buxton, and Tommy Cook performing.

Ray Erlenborn performing sound effects.

Cliff Carpenter, Barbara Fuller, and Frank Buxton at the microphones.

Cliff Carpenter, Barbara Fuller, and Dick Beals.

Cliff Carpenter and Ray Erlenborn talk about their experiences dring the war.

I took about a hundred photos yesterday, so I will get more posted. But I need to get back to the Showcase!

Thanks for sharing with the rest of us. Looks like a great time. Had no idea Martin Grams was so young! He writes with such great authority I thought he would be at least as old as some of us in our mid-late forties. Oh well. Have fun and best to all on the coast.

Yeah, Martin’s a pain in the a…er…neck; he’s so young he gets carded when he drives, yet he’s already written more books than most people read. Don’t worry, though; we’ll get our revenge. He’ll be old someday, too. –cfs3

Martin is young, but he has the pleasantness and politeness of a man from a generation before; truely a very gracious man who is a pleasure to spend some (all to short) time with.
