I’m trying desperately to get these posted before cocktails and dinner…look for more photo and comments later!

Had a Great Lunch at Ryan’s…

Filed under: Old-Time Radio — Charlie Summers @ 2:59 pm

Annie and I used our winnings on lunch today at Ryan’s in Fairfield (6310 South Gilmore Road); the steaks were excellent, the buffet bar had a wide selection (everything from pot pie to pizza pie), and the dessert bar brought tears to my eyes with its selection of goodies.

If you’re ever in the neighborhood, have lunch or dinner at Ryan’s, and thank them for supporting the Cincinnati Old-Time Radio and Nostalgia Convention!

Holy Cow…Sunny and Predicted High of 75!

Filed under: Old-Time Radio — Charlie Summers @ 10:07 am

Looks like today in Cincinatti is going to be another beautiful day! Predicted high of 75-degrees, with a dazzling sun, and lots of OTR recreations and fun!

Gotta get downstairs for a cup of coffee and some schmoozing!

Ok, some pics and thoughts…

Filed under: Old-Time Radio — Charlie Summers @ 12:30 am

Ok, kids, I’m back and I have a few pics for you to (hopefully) enjoy. The first day of the two-day con was great, with lots of chatting, clowning, and fun. The weather here is beautiful, bright and sunny and warm with a lovely breeze. Annie and I walked over to “Famous Dave’s” for lunch (love that beef brisket sandwich), and drove around the area a bit this evening. I really like the general area of this con, since within a stone’s throw you can find anything you need; we drove a bit down the road this afternoon to the local Sam’s Club for a pre-paid phone card (and, of course, had snacks at the sample tables). I may even have to hit the local OfficeMax on Sunday for rebate-stuff.
