Automakers Roll Out the Future

From Wired: Concept cars are to an auto show what the halftime spectacle is to the Super Bowl — eye candy that’s sure to please the crowd. But they also serve a purpose. Auto manufacturers spend millions of dollars to create one-off vehicles featuring designs and not-fully cooked technologies that range from the truly innovative to the bizarre, just to test the waters with consumers.
